Wogglebaum Lorehammer The Wandering Wonderer
Male dwarf Cleric of Dugmaren Brightmantle and Marthammor Duin [[Rara Avis]] member.
An enormously corpulent young dwarf, a mere thirty winters, his lip and cheeks are covered by a virtually imperceptible orange stubble. Woggs is fastidiously clean as well as a voracious consumer of the written word, new life experiences, knowledge (no matter how trivial to the point of ad nauseaum), and anything edible. He is an expert cook, brewer, inventor, philosopher and formulator of fine toiletries. A devout proponent of his gods Dugmaren Brightmantle (god of scholarship, invention and discovery) and Marthammor Duin (god of explorers and travelers). They are the twin sons Moradin, the Father of the dwarven race. He also venerates and respects Clanggedin Silverbeard, the Father of Battle. Woggs is able to hold his own in a fight but loathes doing so, instead prefering to overcome his enemies with sage stratagems or spellcraft. He has become greatly enticed by arcane magic since becoming acquainted with his his new friend, a budding human mage by the name of Athenian Dwizmyk. He often mumbles to himself while pondering the mysteries of life as if he were two completely different people having opposing views. Affable, edifying, and a deceptively apt adventurer, Woggs is as a formidable opponent as he is a fiercely loyal friend.
Woggs is not your “normal’ dwarf. He has no love of mining, fighting or accumulating great wealth and it is for these reason and many more that he was shunned by his clan. Both of his parents were dead by the age of nine, his father dying in a collapsed mine and his mother taken by Goblin Fever. He was looked after by a elderly priest of Dumathoin and was taught the dogma of the dwarven pantheon. The priest quickly perceived the boys affinity to the twin sons of Moradin. He was fostered in a temple dedicated to the twin dwarven gods and tutored in the priestly ways. Completing his training he was charged to go forth to explore the world, and so he has done ever since, keeping one step ahead of trouble. Until now. He met a strange young human mage calling himself ‘Dwizmyk’, a refugee from a distant land that trouble seemed to follow. ‘Leaping’ by means of ancient arcane circles, Dwiz somehow had learned to use and always finding in the nick of time, the two have stayed a step ahead of the trouble that seems to follow his friend. Dwiz keeps his emotions and secrets close to his chest, but Woggs is confident Dwiz will share his burdens with him someday. For now they share a new found friendship and membership in the ”/campaign/rara-avis/wikis/rara-avis" class=“wiki-page-link”>Rara Avis lead by a kindly old sage promising adventure, magical training and a home of sorts shared by an eclectic cadre of like minded souls.
